EMERGENCY ROOM - Don't Let This Happen to You

My wife and I had brunch with a couple nieces in Elkhorn on a recent Sunday.

I went to Google maps and looked for restaurants. I looked at three
of them and they all had problems with their websites. There were the
usual typographical errors, which certainly need fixing, and links to
menus that did not work. My search included a restaurant with a
domain name that went nowhere when I clicked it. ERROR 404 Not Found.
Cannot be good for business. Why bother? Pull the plug or get it fixed.

Believe it or not, in your rightly-sized corner of the world, you are
making news all the time. How often do those bits of publicity get
overlooked in the daily grind?

Possibly most of them if you don't know who your audience is. It's
not everybody. You can't reach them. They don't care and you couldn't
handle them all if they came by.

Who needs to hear from you more often? Your customers. The people who
get it because they already got it. And potential customers.
Especially those that requested information.

And just how much is this whole program going to cost? One thing at a
time - first you have to get used to seeing the news items, in your
own business, as they are planned and executed. You can keep your
eyes out for the news as you begin to assemble your best possible list.
